Don't let your worries get the best of you; Remember, Moses started out as a basket case.

Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited, Until you try to sit in their pews.

Many folks want to serve God, But only as advisers.

It is easier to preach ten sermons Than it is to live one.

The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close.

When you get to your wit's end,You'll find God lives there.

People are funny; they want the front of the bus, Middle of the road, And back of the church.

Opportunity may knock once, But temptation bangs on the front door forever.

Quit griping about your church; If it was perfect, you couldn't belong.

If a church wants a better pastor, It only needs to pray for the one it has.

We're called to be witnesses, not lawyers or judges.

God Himself doesn't propose to judge a man untilhe is dead. So why should you?

Some minds are like concrete Thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.

Peace starts with a smile.

I don't know why some people change churches; What difference does it make which one you stay home from?

Be ye fishers of men. You catch 'em - He'll clean 'em.

Stop, Drop, and Roll won't work in Hell.

Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.

Don't put a question mark where God put a period.

Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to church.

Forbidden fruits create many jams.

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

God grades on the cross, not the curve.

God loves everyone, But probably prefers 'fruits of the spirit' over 'religious nuts!'

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

He who angers you, controls you!

If God is your Co-pilot, swap seats!

Prayer: Don't give God instructions, just report for duty!

The task ahead of us is never asgreat as the Power behind us.

The Will of God never takes you to where theGrace of God will not protect you.

We don't change the message,The message changes us.

You can tell how big a person isBy what it takes to discourage him/her.

The best mathematical equation I have ever seen:1 cross + 3 nails = 4 given.

If this blessed you in a profound way today, Share it with a few friends to bless them!
I bet someone else will LOVE it too.

There is no greater treasure than a good friend!
(Especially if that Friend is Jesus Christ!)

8:50pm: Hi again everyone,
Today has been a busy day!!! This morning I got up just before the alarm went off but wanted to stay under the covers. I so wanted to sleep! I had to get up though since I was going to go to Hillsboro and I wanted to be out of here no later than 10:30. That didn’t exactly happen…

After my shower I dove right into my morning routine: reading my bible, taking Chewy outside, feeding her and the cats, taking care of the litter box, dishes, and taking stuff out to the car.

I was sitting at my desk when I noticed something unusual. In the space for the air conditioner in my office (where the accordion side panels are) we have a bird or birds nested. I saw their shadow and could hear them this morning. Yoda and Vader went nuts! Before I left I took some bread outside and crumbled it up for them. I thought there were babies, but they were gone by the time I got out there, so I don't know. I hope the little guy(s) are warm enough.

Not too much later than that I got on the road. In the daylight the drive- even the trip over the dam and through all that construction- isn’t so bad. At night however, I’d almost rather be beat than have to drive through it. When cars are coming at me or if there’s a car riding my back bumper- and there always is- it makes it hard to focus on the lane I’m in. Obviously I made it home alive though since I’m able to write this! LOL!

While out at Mammaw’s, I expected to only spend a certain amount of time out at Mom’s so I could get to the work at Aunt Tonnie’s too. In spite of my plans, when I got over there I saw Mom had left me a three page list so it took me longer than what I had said it would. This being the case, then I ended up having to put off Aunt Tonnie’s place so I could get back on the road. Before I left though, Aunt Tonnie was a sweet heart and brought us stuff for deli sandwiches with a choice of potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and chips.

Oh! My chalk pastels and my oil pastels that Aunt Tonnie ordered for my birthday came in the mail and I was able to get them! I was tickled pink and can’t wait to use them!

On the way home I stopped by Uncle Larrie’s and brought him a plate and then David’s to buy a gallon of milk. Did I mention how much I hate driving at night? It’s taking some getting used to. I never had to drive in Anchorage.

Anyway, I need to do the dishes that Rich didn’t finish while I was gone and maybe I’ll do some more work on Mammaw’s gingerbread house before bed. Night all!

PS. I thought for my new friends (thanks for the add btw) you'd like to put a face with the name. Read more... )

12:05am: Hello Everyone,
This is my first post here at Insane Journal (since coming back) and as an informal New Year’s resolution I want to get back into the habit of writing every day. As mentioned in the ‘about me’ section of my bio, I am a student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division working on my Associates in Graphic Design. I am currently taking Composition and Language which is a required general and have had to write a 1,000 word essay every week which has rekindled my desire to write. So here goes…

Christmas and my birthday went well and it was great being able to spend it with my family. For the past eleven years I’ve been out of state and the only holiday contact has been through cards/letters and phone calls.

Mom and I put together one of those packaged gingerbread houses and Aunt Tonnie made the remark that it was a shame to eat it. Mammaw’s birthday is on the third, so for the past few days I have been working on creating one out of treated synthetic clay that I make in my kitchen. I’m close to being done, but there is still a LOT of detail work left to do. I have until next Saturday when we’re having her party to finish it.

Tomorrow I’m supposed to go to Hillsboro since Rich will be off work. He’s been having a lot of issues with his feet hurting so I’ll be driving myself so he can rest. Chewy will have to stay home with him so I won’t have to keep up with her. I’m supposed to clean Mom’s house for her (estimated 2.5 hours) and will put in five hours cleaning Aunt Tonnie’s house while I’m there at the same time. I’m just not looking forward to driving home in the dark, especially through the construction and over the dam. I was okay last time though, I can do it again.

For now, I’m caught up with school. I already posted all my assignments for the week, but tomorrow ends the week and then it’ll start all over. When I get home tomorrow (hopefully early) I will need to at least read the lecture and prepare for the discussion question essay that will be due Friday.

Anyway, I’m glad to be back at Insane Journal and hope to see some old friends! Until next time, stay safe and have a great day!
